JETS 2 v 0 Guildford Saints

Sunday 2nd November

Perrywood Jets entertained Guildford Saints on a very wet and muddy pitch. The game started off tight with a lot of the action being played in midfield with both sides creating half chances but it was Perrywood that was to take the lead when William Robinson broke free on the right, Robinson cut inside and squared the ball to Rhys Greene  who curled the ball pass the Guildford keeper. The game continued to be tight but when Guildford did threaten the Perrywood goal they found Craig Standivan the Perrywood keeper in inspired form backed up by some resolute defender with Shaun Turner the pick of the bunch.
Perrywood sealed the win when Jason Russell burst through the Guildford defence, the Guildford keeper done well forcing Russell wide but he managed to keep control of the ball to turn and roll it into the empty net.

JETS 5 v 2 Meadow Youth

Sunday 12th October

After last weeks disappointment, Perrywood got back to winning ways against Meadow Youth. Perrywood took the lead early through Rhys Greene with a neat left foot drive and five minutes later Greene struck again with a near identical goal.
The second half started with the warning for Perrywood, that the next goal could decide who won or lost this match and the next goal went to Meadow. But just as Meadow thought they were back in the match Greene struck again completing his hat-trick. Perrywood were now in control and only Meadow`s keeper was keeping the score down but Greene was not to be denied and put the game out of Meadow`s reach with his fourth goal. Meadow were still showing fighting spirit though and came back at Perrywood to score but once again Perrywood bounced back when Jason Russell sprinted away from the Meadow defence and slotted the ball past the Meadow keeper. JETS 3 v 6 Send United - cup

Sunday 5th October

Perrywood Jets faced a tough test this week entertaining Send United in the SPL cup who play in a division above them. Played in atrocious conditions Perrywood started well and took the lead early with Will Robinson scoring his sixth goal of the season after a defence splitting pass from Dale Edge. But instead of pushing on the Jets went to sleep and Send showed how good they could be hitting the Jets with four set piece goals in the space of twenty minutes. Perrywood woke from their slumber just before halftime with Rhys Greene scoring his first ever goal for Perrywood giving the team a lifeline. Four - two at halftime.
Perrywood started to exert some pressure at the start of the second half and several chances were wasted before Kieran Cox tapped home after a goalmouth melee. With ten minutes left Perrywood started to push for the equaliser but again Sends class was to show hitting Perrywood with two well taken counter-attacking goals. Final score six - three to Send.

JETS 1 v 1 Lower Green

Sunday 28th September

Perrywood Jets were involved in a game of two halves this week away against Lower Green. The first half was all Perrywood, attack after attack rained in on Lower Green`s goal and without their goalkeeper`s heriocs the game would of been over by halftime. But the first half ended all square at nil - nil.
The second half started well for Perrywood Chris A`Court broke from left back evaded three tackles and crossed for an unmarked Will Robinson to score at the back post. They say the most dangerous time in football is just after you score and this was the case, one lapse of concentration in the Perrywood defence and Lower Green equalised. This gave Lower Green some momentum and they took the game to Perrywood but the defence stood strong and the game was to finish one each. Man of the Match went to Chris A`Court.

JETS 3 v 3 GUILDFORD SAINTS

Sunday 21st September

Last week the Perrywood Jets were firing on all cylinders but for the majority of the first half of this game against a good Haslemere side they were firing on two, the exceptions being goalkeeper Craig Standivan and Defender Robert Stephenson. Thirty minutes gone and three nil down the Jets finally woke up when Rhys Greene smashed the ball onto the cross bar and right on half-time the Jets grabbed a lifeline with Dale Edge squeezing a shot just inside the far post.
The second half was a different story though and the Jets finally found their rthyme and were exerting a lot of pressure onto the Haslemere defence, Chris A`Court found space on the left and looped a shot over the goalkeeper, three - two and game on. It was only a matter of time before the Jets equalised and it could of been Rhys Greene but his shot smashed onto the crossbar again, the equaliser did arrive though from Will Robinson through on goal and calmly slotting the ball wide of the keeper 3-3. The Jets pushed forward for the winner and Lewis Nichols nearly won the game with a rasping 25 yard drive that flew just wide. The game ended three all and was a great advert for junior football with both sides playing their part. Man of the Match went to Robert Stephenson.

 JETS 3 v 1 GUILDFORD SAINTS

Sunday 14th September

Perrywood Jets started the season with a win, beating Guildford Saints 3 - 1. Guildford made the Jets work hard for this result taking an early lead when awarded a penalty. But the Jets struck back with Will Robinson scoring the equaliser. The first half was an even affair but the pressure was starting to increase on the Guildford side as Perrywood started to up the tempo with an impressive Dale Edge terrorising Guildford down the left wing. Come the second half and Perrywood took the lead with another goal from Robinson. Perrywood were on top and in full flight with Guildford struggling to get out of their half. The game was sealed halfway through the second half when Robinson chipped the keeper for Perrywoods third goal and his hat-trick.
Man of the match was a very difficult decision with some very impressive displays in particular A`Court, Stephenson,Allen,Sowter, Nichols,Edge and Robinson but after scoring a hat-trick the award went to Robinson.
